[under £5] COMPATIBLE GEAR CABLE SET, INNERS & OUTERS

but galvanised cables. Personally I'd spend the extra £ or 2 to get stainless knowing it will be smoother action and last several times longer.

    Very expensive stumpjumper !!!

I thought so too (that's why I bought it!!!) By this guys reckoning it should be worth £4k + now it has correct tyres and is rideable, but I'm guessing £300 would be more realistic - NOT THAT IT'S FOR SALE before anyone asks.

mech hanger bolt TPI wanted, for you knowlageble or cnc lads

Standard gear hanger thread is M10 x 1mm pitch, hence the 25/26 tpi being almost there (1mm pitch is approx 25.4 tpi).

Full suspension v Front suspension v Fully rigid

Quite agree. "Hardcore" riders prefer whatever bike allows them to ride faster and harder, which for me is a decent lightweight mid travel full sus., but as stated earlier sometimes I prefer full rigid singlespeed for more of a challenge. Which is more hardcore? A 24 hour enduro on full sus...

Full suspension v Front suspension v Fully rigid

Being lucky enough to own a brand spanking Whyte E120 - 23lb of 5" travel XC/enduro/all day/race bike I'd have to say full sus. For me though it's best to have all 3 (although my surly full rigid single speed with cantis is 5lb heavier than the whyte and the hardtail is somewhere between the...

Am I the only person here with them then? Only occasionally worn fire iridium OTTs, complete with original box and scrotum style lens cover.

    1990's Boulder

Adjustable preload coil spring with shim stack oil damping. If you undo the "chain link" holding the shock shaft onto the swingarm you can rotate the shaft to preload the spring or unscrew the entire shock inards from the frame for servicing (mine had no oil when it arrived). Easily tunable...

    1990's Boulder

Not sure if it's a Defiant or Gazelle, but either way I like it. The Tioga cranks spin smoother than anything else I've known but the rest is bog standard DX 7 speed. Oh apart from the hubs, which are a pair of Clark Kent pineapples laced onto 261s. Other parts include Roox Danny stem...

    1890 Headshock 69er

Also notice the 40 tangent spoke rear wheel for strength coupled with direct (screwed straight into hub - who said that's new Easton/Velomax, etc) 32 spoke radial front for weight saving.
