    80s sr axles

Should fit OK, I guess it's not titanium like the original. Just file it the same length, put a cone down the axle then undo it over the filed end to straighten any threads then remove any burs from the axle. Rather like threading down a crown race when shortening a steerer and then taking...

Carlton Corsair front derailleur cable route

Change the front mech to one that doesn't need a cable stop in the mech as there is one on the frame. Or run a longer outer from the front cable stop to the front mech.

Peugeot 531 Extra Leger ID Help

If memory serves 531 Special Lightweight only lasted a couple of years before morphing into Pro. 1977-79 rings a bell but could be way out. Check the decal on Lloyd time line and look at the Peugeot catalogues for that time?

Rondinella Reynolds 753 - early 80's time trial

Mercian Strada Speciale and Roy Thame did lug cutouts like those too so not that unique. Nice nonetheless apart from the rust around the seat lug.

For Sale Andy Powell (Overburys of Bristol) 23" 531 frame racer 1985 ish?

Over bb guides, longer dropouts, nutted brakes, semi sloping crown and the frame number 111 78 probably puts it at 1978?

    1979 Rondinella

My 70's TT steed had the Weinmann 500 brake bolt brazed to the front fork and the rear brake bridge. Took all the guesswork out of what to fit :). The 500's were drillium to the point braking was an optional extra lol

    1979 Rondinella

I worked in a bike shop until 1978 and the old 26" wheels were DIW for anything vaguely lightweight For anything but racing the Module E and Elan style combo was arriving fast. There's a neat outline a few posts on here.. https://yacf.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=108911.0

For Sale Campag braze-on shifters - Nuovo Record

Yep, £30 is a fair price, especially if all the bits are there. The raised lettering jobbies from an earlier period can go for a bit more but get a coupe of feet away and they look the same.

Carlton Ten barn find, now more shiny

Very nice :) hope the Weinmann rims not to squealy Just have to be sightly careful with the bolt in the fork lamp boss. Carlton bosses were quite slim and the bolt can bottom out and if done up really tight pull the lamp boss off, just like a crank remover.

Help with identifying my 1970s frame

Pics would be helpful. In the 70's lots of shops bought in frames and for ID stamped their own frame numbers on them. For example companies like Autostrada turned out huge numbers of frames for shops to sell with their own decals.

Alan Richards frameset - beautiful paint

Looks neat. Over BB cable guides, Cinelli MC style fork crown, long dropouts, seat stay lug for a bolt sort of puts it in late 70's to early 80's so likely 531?
