Bike Park Wales, anyone taken a retro round...?

Don't know how it compares but I have done Llandegla a few times on my 93 Zaskar. Got some funny looks but did the job. I would prefer a nice modern ride for it though, I am just too tight to buy a new bike :p

Re: '94 GT Zaskar Aqua Still looking fantastic :) Personally, I think they ride the best when running solid forks, I found the front end to be so light and nimble. Sadly the comfort factor of the suspension kind of over rules the benefits of solid forks.

So many nice new rides added since I last checked this thread :o My 93 Zaskar. 2017 year will consist of another polishing and a few minor changes (I did say the same at the beginning of 2016..)

Gave the car a wash and decided the bike needed a once over. Hit the top tube with a bits of Pikes to remind myself what it looks like when shiny :)

First decent ride in about 6 months last night, wet and muddy but the Zaskar ploughed through without issue :) My mate is on a 29er though and he seems to make much better progress on the long straights :/ Seem to be forever peddling to try and keep up.

Project Old Skool Nouveau (1988 GT Tequesta)

I love the new look, for me personally, retro modding are the most interesting of the builds (i'm in the minority I know).

Ah cool, well I have an almost full tin of Pikes so that will do, I think it may be time to dig out the bike stand and bring the bike in to the house, garage is far too cold this time of year!

Re: Re: Yes, the frame does need a good polish :? Is the Pikes Polish still the preferred way or has another product been discovered in the last couple of years?

This will only be the 3rd graphic change in six years  TBH I am only changing them now as the current ones are all worn away, amazingly through use which even I find hard to believe  If they need replacing then might as well give the bike a facelift right? :P

I did use it a couple of times in the summer but that was very gentle rides down to the seaside with the other half but was nice to see it shining in the sun :) I went with some graphics I actually saw on one of your many threads :D

Nothing to update on this but used it for the first time in ages this weekend. Much like the last update, pumped up the tyres and lubed the chain and it was good to go. I have a new set of decals for it and I really fancy a new seat plus replacing a couple of screws that have rusted. New...

Re: That'll be it then, mine where the big old orange Z1's, loved the look but never really got on with them. Bike looks awesome either way, I think the anodised blue must be the best finish on the Zaskar.

1994 Claud Butler Vantage - show room condition :)

Still got my Claud Butler Vantage, it is a 1995 iirc and I have had it from new :) Different paint job to this, a rather boring ice blue but it has served me very well.

Re: GT Zaskar Aqua Retromod: Update page 19 Brilliant! Is this your 'daily' ride then? Never liked the bombers on mine, always felt a bit heavy up front :/

    1993 Zaskar Build

Used this today for the first time in ages, spent most of last year using my other bike (also retro but setup for the road). Pumped up the tyres, lubed up the moving parts and off I went :) Now it needs a clean! No plans for it this year other than using it and enjoying it! May give it...

    Halogen Lights / Dynamo Help

Hi! Not strictly retro but I'm sure you don't mind helping out  My misses bike has a set of halogens and a dynamo fitted and I can't figure out how to get it to work? :| I have the dynamo setup so it rotates when the bike is ridden but there is no on/off switch for the lights which...
