Hi, Looking for a bit of a BMX project, want something that has a chrome finish as i'm doing that thing of wanting to rebuild / build my teenage years BMX! A GT of some description would be ideal but really is cost dependent. I don't mind a project but would have to be at least 80 %...

My 1995 Claud Butler Vantage, owned since new and still in regular use. My favourite look I had on this was blue Club Roost bars and grey Tioga Pysco 2 tyres but both of them items are long gone :( How it currently looks, I plan on refitting the cantilever brakes at some point when time allows.

Re: Re: Thanks! It's actually really in need of a clean and polish now! I went around Arrow Park, from home in Moreton. The Wirral Way was the original plan but in end, didn't fancy the ride down against the wind to get there and back so settled on something more in land

Evening, Looking for something suitable for my Zaskar. 26" V-Brake Compatible Mavic SUP 217 or similar. Dark Colour is prefered but happy to see what else is out there. Matched to a nice set of hubs that will take an 8 speed cassette. Please PM if you have anything available. Not really...

Re: Lovely bike, I've been running my 94/95 Claud Butler from new and it's still going strong. This one takes me back to flipping through the catalogue and drooling over the top models.

Ultimately, this is the most likely outcome :D I'm all up for making stuff look nice but the aim of a bike is to ride it, it's not a show piece, when it isn't being used i'm forever tripping over the thing in my garage, certainly not a shelf queen / wall art.

I think this is about 5 years in it's current guise now, would love to say I lovingly maintain it but I just ride the thing! I think it is time for a refresh though, I want to re-polish and swap a few bits and bobs on it this year just for a new look really, can't complain, it's cost me pennies...

Little update on this, no point editing the previous pictures but it looked like this... Fitted some Club Roost bars and my old flight... Recently upped the retro-ness by adding some Oury grips and a nice brown Charge Spoon, little changes have made a nice difference, new saddle and grips...

Looks nice and original. What is the plan for it?
