Its definitley an orginal MF Araya framed Rambler. the early MF and S&G cycles had those stamped Araya logos & serial numbers as think they were just rebranded here as MFs...as this pic demonsates, basically the same bike. The decals might be something to do with it supposedly being a press...

Most interesting aspect is the sloped fork crown.....

The kind of thing I would have bought a couple of years ago if it was half the price.....possibly interesting history, but then again possibly not. guessing Rambler '84/85ish by the decals & forks. nice spec with Kaskimax saddle etc...

Seems ok for the Pine Mountain with its near mintness and XT. What was the other one? not much clue about Marins.

Also keep and eye on FB mkt place......you never know. Brick Lane used to have endless stolen bikes being sold along the , but haven't been there in years so not sure if thats still the case.

Plans: Moving house, the new one has a garage & a couple of sheds so I can actually pull a few things out of deep storage to get into fixing them up and divide into keepers, sellers, parts. Maybe actually ride a few, that would be novel. And yes, 2024 seems to be looking like it will be awash...

I fit were me I'd keep the patina on the bars, shows its history & looks nicer that introducing fresh paint IMHO........but depends on what you want to do with it going forward. Very cool to find.
