Hi, I think the first two numbers usually denote the date (?) so it could be a '90. There's a recent thread posted by Neko about M2s..

A pic of the frame. Pretty battered! Some original (?) components I've still got: Suntour 3x8 crankset, Specialized seatpost and saddle, Dia-Compe rear canti hanger, and a 3T Forge Ahead stem.

They're in pretty good nick and spindle doesn't have any play. Probably good advice but sometimes hard to resist tinkering 😜
