Bargain id say,M1s hardly come up for sale,especially the SL variant

Hope they get banned from ebay,Does it look like the frames had a respray,and the 531 sticker on the forks,does that look to have been added later

What actual model is that,it states in the ad that its as it left the factory,looks to me to have had a respray,although it has a 531 sticker on the fork blades,and thats a nineties rear mech,a countrtyman??

I think that stem is a Tuffneck,i bought a schwinn a few years ago with one fitted,in gold even,its worth more than double the price of the bike if its a genuine one,ugly though,bars also look tasty

I know what you mean,when you mention Dawes,mega slack seat tube,square crown forks and the cougar model was white,but i dont think it was 531 tubing all round,and most early Dawes had the Logo embosed on the seat stays.

Thats great,direct drive,rear drum,just needs chain guard and a twist grip,and a prayer mat

Great bike,way ahead of its time,a slack head and low bottom bracket ( which was its achiles heel)made it super stable,good on the ups also..Keep an eye on the linkage bearings,they come loose,and if not greased periodically the inner race of the bearings attach themselves to the linkage axles

From the middle of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube its approximately 19.5 inches and 18.5 to the top of the top tube

Ill check tomorrow but im guessing 18 inch

Yes thats a beauty,I hada later variant of one of these not so long ago,think i regret selling it
