I've been gifted this Sony Reel to Reel recorder, 1971 vintage! Underneath the grime, looks like it will be in time-warp condition. I've powered it up and connected the speakers supplied with it and all seems fine. I haven't yet spooled a tape as I want to give the heads a going over. The case...

Quick tip for touching in stone chips ( not scratches) tiny amount of paint on the top of a cocktail stick, much finer and more accurate than any paint brush 😉
