    QR20 Disc mount question

I don't have an answer yet, but I'm almost in the same boat. I have a Woodman mount, and I think one of my mounts is stripped in the fork. I had thought about using a locking nut on the inside of the fork leg instead.

    1998? Giant Track Expert

Just a couple of photos of one of the workaday retro bikes we have around the family. This is Dad's Giant Track, fairly sure it is a 1998 as it doesn't appear in the 1997 catalogue. Apart from the seats, stem and brake pads, everything is original I believe. I've always thought it unusual to...

    Mystery and Unidentified Parts

It's a Shark Fin, but is it an XT one or a cheap copy? Came off a more modern bike. No logos. Overall length 212mm and two cable tie holes.

    Tyre / Rubber cement

I use the Weldtite stuff. It's available as a 15g tube which fits in my puncture kit just fine - and I don't have issues with it drying up.

Shimano Parallax - what does it mean?

In 1994, Shimano introduced Parallax hubs to the XT groupset. They were also available on many other groups around the same time until the late 1990s. As far as I'm aware, the difference was a larger hub body. But what does 'Parallax' mean and why did Shimano decide to use that word?

Help figuring out Mystery Ritchey/Rocky/Fisher frame?

Its a 1990 or 1991 from that frame number. I initially thought Shogun Prairie Breaker but I can't find any with matching seat stays. I have Scott, Specialized and Gary Fisher frames in my records with similar frame numbers.
