Can you share the frame number please? I haven't got anything Controltech branded on my list. It's almost visible in a couple of your photos!

NC-17 are a German component manufacturer if that helps anyone. I'd agree that it is a 2004 frame from the serial number.

I wonder if this might be an original decal? 'Butted 7005 Aluminum' - Could help to match the frame if another is found, or anyone recognises the font. This is towards the bottom of the seat tube.

The first 3 characters of the frame number are hard to read. Can you confirm what they are?

What's the frame number? That'll give the date and narrow down the model.

Another brand that Moore & Large distributed was Barracuda. Barracuda also sold chrome BMX bikes, such as this Trick 1 (Gumtree Ad photo) This is not the OP's frame as it has a straight down tube, but it is very similar and I'd guess a similar vintage. old

32 spokes, galvanised. Appears to have a 7 speed freehub. Despite appearances, the freehub and bearings seem smooth. Different hub to yours though. It's mostly straight, just a little wiggle.

Seems like these have a following. Can anyone share their frame number? Should be on the seat tube, non drive side by the bottom bracket. Have seen one at work but the number was covered by the front derailleur clamp.
