Just received a 1992 Alpinestars Cro Mega DX. Need a direct mount front derailleur for it. Not fussed on whether it is a DX, LX or XT. Anybody got one they want to sell? thanks and happy Friday :)

Very true, eBay always good if you want best price for it. But also has lots of chancers on there, there are countless Couriers on there for silly money but they just don't sell, as they aren't as desirable as most retro MTB. Which surprises me as they are the grand-daddy of MTB in the UK...

You keeping it or selling it? If I were you I'd keep it and enjoy it as they are rare bikes, do ride nice. So for value for money they are great and underrated bikes, but depends if you still like it or not. If not then I would be interested in having a chat with you on price. ;)

Haha, I was going to say; "that is what I tell the wife." Yep, beautiful looking bikes, remember the seeing the advert when they came out. It is all original (except tyres) has the White Industries Crank and front hub.

If my memory serves me well it is a 1988. the frame is different to the normal courier it is the same frame as the Tushingham B52. Not many about but they don't demand serious money. Nice bike, was after one of these for AGES a few years ago. Typical lol

Perhaps the wheels and tyres came off a ghost bike.

I messaged them a while ago and never got a reply. The paint on the tyres looks weird as it has the same pattern on front and rear tyres. So not sure if the frame has been sprayed with those tyres on as the front forks don't look like they have been sprayed.

I know I am getting old but I remember seeing an advert for the Marin Mount Vision when it first came out. I vaguely remember it being in a forest scene near a river, I could well be wrong though. Does anybody have a magazine with that advert in they could take a picture of for me please...

Was watching this on Ebay. I have a mint 97 in the small, but ideally could do with the medium. I'm on the cusp in sizes but prefer the way the medium looks. I also have a 99 medium frame that I am about to sell, as don't need two but prefer the chrome with white manitous. Still surprised...
