Just wondering how many have an Ebike, I bought this in 2016 and it's been great, on second battery but original is still pretty good

Electronic Groupsets.....good idea or utterly pointless for most people ?

And before someone asks, yes I have tried it on a 50 mile day long ride, it works really well granted, but so does mechanical

Electronic Groupsets.....good idea or utterly pointless for most people ?

Well that's my opinion too, I personally find mechanical systems rather brilliant these days, but hey, if people want to buy it, it's up to them, I just can't see the benefit for myself, I can only see disadvantages

Electronic Groupsets.....good idea or utterly pointless for most people ?

Actually, you are right, this is a great forum and this thread has prompted some good exchange of views, as have my other threads, of course there are always those that take things way too seriously and feel they need to offer patronising advice which is rather amusing but I will continue to add...

Electronic Groupsets.....good idea or utterly pointless for most people ?

TOTALLY AGREE!!!!! the beauty and elegance of a bicycle is that I power it with my muscles and it is a wonderful mechanical device that has been refined to the point that the mechanics work brilliantly well albeit with a "little" mechanical acumen required. I dont want electronics, a computer...

Electronic Groupsets.....good idea or utterly pointless for most people ?

OK the negatives as I see them....and this is a discussion thread remember so I am not looking to argue or squabble, just light hearted discussion: 1. Very expensive when compared to existing mechanical technology which has been refined and perfected over decades to the point that even entry...

I will wait for the advocates to extol the virtues and then elucidate my reasons for dismissing such nonsense😂😂😂😂😂

Electronic Groupsets.....good idea or utterly pointless for most people ?

:) Well I am guilty of being sure I am always right :) so rather than state my strong opinion (at least not yet) I will entertain the vague possibility that I might not be completely correct :) :)

Electronic Groupsets.....good idea or utterly pointless for most people ?

Electronic groupsets, my local dealer claims that they will become the norm on even cheap bikes, I can't see that happening myself, but rather than state my opinions on this "advance" I wonder what people here think. I am not talking about pro level competition where I accept every microsecond...

Why are drop bars so narrow, ie 46cm max?

I want about 50cm between the hoods, not that easy to find, but it seems they are about, I will find some

Why are drop bars so narrow, ie 46cm max?

For years I used drop bars but only ever used the hoods and tops, the drops were too uncomfortable but I have realised that the trick is to get the bars higher with either a steer tube extender and/or a riser stem and 460mm wide minimum, I now quite like my drop bars and ride for long periods on...

Why are drop bars so narrow, ie 46cm max?

I cant find anything like this in the UK however they exist and I will find some somewhere thanks

Why are drop bars so narrow, ie 46cm max?

I like them :-) I would be ok with those, my local bike shop gave me duff info, he claimed the widest available was 460mm which I bought, they are still not wide enough
