    Early Zaskar £35 in Chester

The # number inside the dropout I did notice but my knowledge isn’t 100%. Has anyone brought this to his attention?

Who are we using for paint jobs nowadays?

It’s great until it cracks somewhere and fills up with water between it and whatever it’s meant to be stuck to.

    Wheel building recommendations?

I’ve always built my own, started before the web so just did it by looking at another wheel.

    Klosch - an accidental project…

A scruffy but solid Ritchey Vector and a mixture of XT rear mech, shifters and levers plus LX crank and front mech get me to this. Very happy so far - the garden can now wait😊 I need to remove the front brake cable support from the headset and use the one on the bars, the front tyre need...

    Klosch - an accidental project…

The gift kept giving and these were used: A bit short though… ..better dust off the lathe.. They will get cleaned up tomorrow. I kept just randomly grabbing the bike and measuring where my hands fell - 30mm each end did the trick.

    Klosch - an accidental project…

I love the patina and the fact that almost everything I’m using is in a similar state should leave me with an honest looking bike that to the untrained eye would just look like, well, a boring old bike. These were part of a semi-built Karakoram which I didn’t fancy, but were in really good...

    Klosch - an accidental project…

I’ve been hanging around here long enough now to put a thread together, and as I never intended to do anything at all with this frame other than sell it on, it seemed a good place to start. I had never even heard of Klosch until I saw this at a very good price and only half an hour away. It’s...

    Innovations that weren't...

We just did the basic version of standing on a coke can and wedging it in the brake / seat stays😊

    Drunk purchases

A crusty old Land Rover that had been used as a farm hack, which then took me 7 years to restore and I now can’t even bl@@dy drive 😂

    Anyone know who made this?

Besides the seat post, I really, really like that. The colour, the pull shock, the early Boxxers I used to dream about - but I’d be interested to see the position of the mech / chain tension in first gear 🤔

Any obscure BB removal suggestions before I go the sledge hammer route??

Similar to the welding idea, I once just stuck the mig in and welded the bb shaft to the housing, and turned it out with a crank arm bolted on. Like the atf idea though.

    GT Sound System

Guess what brand is this frame

I have a muddy fox Ti frame but it doesn’t have a mono stay.

Help on identifying Orange 5 bike

Should be 190 for this bike. I had one of these shocks that used to blow by no matter what and while it’s simple enough to take it apart quick and let the air out it gets tedious so I binned it.

    GT Sound System

‘til you drop off a kerb and the cable ties break with front speaker flipping you over the bars.

Help on identifying Orange 5 bike

What’s the eye-eye of the (Fox) shock you have? Without the offset bushes.

Help on identifying Orange 5 bike

This is how they were built - agricultural. It looks and feels slack because it’s got the wrong shock on it - every single pivot Orange like this (mostly Five’s) I’ve ever had through my garage has a lot smaller gap between the swing arm and seat tube (red arrow in my pic) that you can’t even...
