What is your Holy Grail among French frame builders?

Was on my hols a few years ago camping in Rillé and drove past the Cyfac factory by complete accident. Stopped and did a doubletake at the anonymous and unimpressive building inbetwen two small towns that has produced so many innovations and frames for big name racers.

Steel frame bike with Shimano 600 Arabesque groupset

Yes, that sleeve/locator part seems to crack on arabseque 600 rear mechs. I filled the crack on mine with superglue many miles ago - still going. An early design mis step on Shimanos climb of the tech ladder. Where did you source the replacement? Or did you make it yourself?

For Sale Quist road bike 51cm *Price reduction* *SOLD*

Its a lovely bike. It would be a crime to shotblast it (and would possibly perforate such thin tubing anyway). A re-chrome on the fork would be the same or greater than you're looking to recoup. GLWS :)

    1970’s road bike frame query

Get to a bike jumble if you can. I have bought great wheels on these here forums and also some ok wheels for not much dough. Plenty of good lightweight wheels out there but they'll be 40 or 50 years old now so be discerning. Or as above, get new wheels built onto retro looking hubs.

    1970’s road bike frame query

Within limits you'll be able to change the front rings but not by much going down. Depends on the chainset. What is it? A 130BCD Shimano chainset can only go down to a 38T smaller chainring. If its Campagnolo and 144BCD then 42T is your smallest. (41T is possible but they are like unicorns). If...
