A build for my good fiend Ralph, ullswater of this parish. A frame he’s had for a bit and a fill in job till I get the Ken Bird back from Mario Vaz.

Friend’s Brother second bike and obviously his winter bike with the mudguards. Similar mix of components, not sure about the tubing.

My friend has recently inherited a couple of Peugeots from his Brother. Doesn’t need much work, they are pretty clean and a service. Shimano and Ofmega components and Columbus tubing.

I visited Mario Vaz today to drop off another bike for a respray. I mentioned I had a Sierra and he told me that someone had picked one up from the previous day that he had resprayed. Back in the day he remembered that they would be done in batches of 40 and were a very popular bike.

Just prior to Covid I rode her from Ypres Castle in Rye to Ypres and the Menin Gate. She performed very well, much more stable ride than the Chas Roberts I had ridden to Paris the previous year.

Surprisingly nippy, 2.3 litre version. Seats are so compliant you sink into them.

Well the frame is stripped and dropped off at Mario Vaz for painting, 2-3 weeks to see what this colour scheme is going to look like 🙏 We went up in my friends Citroen DS23 which is ulez compliant unlike my Jaguar XF, what a joke. Lovely car though.

I couldn’t do that but I did once run over a Frog ( might have been a toad) with a cylinder mower once. Unintentionally!!
