    Got my first Pro-flex 756

Good score! The SFP elastomers offer far less travel than the original foamy MCU’s but it will take the edge off the bumps. If you ride mild XC or smooth dirt trails you’ll likely be satisfied with soft elastomers. You may be able to swap front/rear elastomers. (I’m 225 lbs and have 2...

    Today's Ride

We went to Zion (Utah) for vacation. Wish I could say we rode this, but at 9000+ feet of elevation we struggled to ride the 1/8 mile loop around our campground. Miles upon miles of riding were planned, bikes prepped and trucked across 4 states until we were winded after the slightest of inclines.

For those who know how to braze

In college I took an oxy-acetylene welding class. One segment of the class was on brazing. I've done very little welding or brazing since then and have not practiced enough to be proficient by any means. The important take away I got from the class was that the gas bottle regulators and torch...

    Stevenson psychosis steel full bouncer?

Looks over-engineered. Assuming the Ballistic came standard on the frame, it would bee a good parts bin build.

    1994 GT Zaskar LE

Go with the Manitou - being almost completely sealed, it will offer consistent smooth travel in the long term. All the CNC artistry will match the headset and seatpost clamp. Blue RaceFace bars and matching cranks are stunning. Rare bars indeed, I never knew there was such a thing and I have a...

    Riser bar or riser stem?

Answer makes an Alumilite Classic 2” riser bar for a reasonable price; 25.4mm clamp, 685mm width. It has the retro look with a slightly modern (read comfortable) width & height. And fits older stems. https://hayesbicycle.com/products/answer-alumilite-classic-2-rise-bar-black-25-4mm

    Sup’s Pile of Bike Projects

Just completed an all urban first ride. The ride is exceptionally plush. It has roughly the same wheelbase as most of our retro rides so it is quite nimble. The long travel and wide bars make it feel monstrously big. Compared to the longer wheelbase Orbea and Spinergy wheels it replaced, it...

    Today's Ride

Rode to the local bike swap for the Yeti’s shakedown. Paul Brown (Tom Ritchey cohort and former owner of Cycle Dynamics) was there. I got to hear some great stories from him. He has a very unique 1987-ish Ritchey-built frame/fork/stem for sale in addition to countless Campy bits...

    Tapered headset help!

Everything matches up between OEM and your selection. Is your bike missing just the bearings or the whole headset? If you're missing the whole headset, I'd buy the Deda. 57% mark down is a good deal.
