Dmr cranks I had were 19mm but the spindle is a weird tapered thing, 19mm at the ends, 20/22mm or something in the middle. Bloody strange system.

If you have a crankset for an 83mm bb then it won’t matter where you put the spacers, it ain’t going to work. Definitely sounds like a limit screw problem.

68mm shell = 2 spacers driveside and 1 non, 73mm shell = 1 driveside. Unless you are using an e-type front mech in which case the mech mount replaces one of the driveside spacers so it'd be one spacer and the mech on a 68mm shell, no spacers just the mech on a 73mm shell.

I received that mc35 today and as suggested, it just isn’t right for the direction I’m going with the build. I’ll post a classified ad for it shortly. I’ve now bought a marzocchi z3 flylight that I’m hoping fits the bill.

About the same travel you think? I like the look of the suspension fork but I did consider a rigid when I was building it so it's definitely something I'd consider. I have a DMR Switchblade with a short steerer but I can fix that easily enough, thing is it probably weighs more than the bloody...
