    Claud Butler Frame Builders?

Any idear who H would have been at CB in late 40's, got hold of this frame off the Bay. I assume the dots and >< on the forks do not mean anything and the H is a builder initial.

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

Yes, that's mid 84 according to prediction so not unreasonable to take some time to get sold via your route. Also prediction may not be 100% anyway. I have attached some pictures of lugs on what is listed as Majestic. You can find more if you look up the database on the history site.

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

That number, 060855, without any pictures of the frame looks like a typical Holdsworth 6 Digit number. it is purely sequential and if built by Holdsworth would be ~mid 1984. There is no build date in bedded in the number and only a few frames built in 85 as they had been taken over by Marlboro...

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

6 Digit numbers seem common on RT frames so if these lugs look the same as yours you could have a lead here. If you google or ebay RT frames you can see the style of numbering used. (RT did use Holdsworth shop numbering system for a while, these were 5 Digit staring with 2 digit year)

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

Yes, that's a typical Pre-Holdsworth, CB number. Could be 30's or 40's as the first digit is the year and the second the month. You would have to look at the rest of the frame to ID it. As it happens I have that one logged in the database and it is July 1949, Seq. #2465. When the month gets into...

1980 Holdsworth Pro SL - Retro Build

I have 700x23C Conti GP5000 in as they are good road tyres, just clears the bridge, but had to relive the caliper mount a bit. No sign of rubbing on tyre so far. I did try 25C's but wheel lock up totally at full pressure, so I have some expensive tyres for the Monsoon or the Raleigh. I have...

1980 Holdsworth Pro SL - Retro Build

Been busy over lock down getting this on the road. Looking to build a light bike to keep up on club rides. 1980 Holdsworth Pro SL with some modern lightweight components. Can't get anything bigger then 23C's in the rear due to brake bridge. Weighs in a 7.36kg and feels taught and light...

    Holdsworth Frame Numbers

The frame number would suggest mid 1972 build, could have been sold latter that year or even 73. I would suggest you look in on the attached web site for model details that match your frame in early 70's. http://www.nkilgariff.com/

    My Holdsworth special 1971......

Re: Frame identification help....I know I know Well just goes to show what custom builds through up from time to time. I have found some more from the Marlboro era with these windows too, one of them is badged as a CB. I guess it comes down to do all the other frame features fit an early 70's...

    My Holdsworth special 1971......

Re: Frame identification help....I know I know I have to say I am getting less convinced by those windows in the lugs. Can only think of pro SL with any sort of windows.
