Yeah they are adjustable by about 2.5-3”. It’s not as noticeable on later models as they were black.

Did a test fit of the Bullet Bros tensioner and XTR M900 rear mech. Will be interesting seeing if this has much of an effect on the shifting. Still can’t believe how good condition the original paint / powder coat is 🤯🤯

A bit more progress on the infamous Vario seat tower. Every part is machined and over engineered for the task in hand. The first time in 2 years that the seat-tower is back and fitted on the frame. Meticulously inspected and cleaned prior to reassembly.

Cheers mate. it’s coming along very slowly with not really much more progress than I have documente. Regina’s Vario is a Techno as it is a linkage driven single pivot, mine is the No Limit. Her fork’s definitely look like triple clamp Ronds 👍

Not really had a huge amount of spare time, but have the Spring forks all fitted back on the frame. Also test fitted the chain guide plates on the XTR cranks. Will source some appropriate chainring bolts in due course.

That’s a great picture. Is interesting to see the subtle differences and evolution of the frame. I’ve personally never seen a suspension fork with adjustable horizontal dropouts before, especially from this era. Like you say GT did a rigid fork called the 3D that had horizontal dropouts...

Yes it’s a crazy feature where you can lengthen and shorten the wheelbase for different tracks.

New front wheel mounted on the Spring VLS forks for the first time. Personally loving the monochrome silver on silver on silver combo of the forks, hub and QR 😎

Forks are finally mounted back on the bike and have had a bit of a polish / clean.
