Well, I'm back in the UK, but haven't collected the bike yet!
But, as well as buying this one whilst away, I also managed to buy a British Eagle touristique which is being collected at the weekend, and a flat bar converted Galaxy, which I collected on the way home last night.
I'd use a good quality 2 part epoxy suitable for metal, in the past I've used to use a Aztec chemicals product but I can't get it anymore, but recently I've been using Mannol 9905 with excellent results

Another way I've done it in the past was, and this only works with steel cups of course, is run a bead of weld using an arch welder on the inside of the cup, pretty much where the bearings run, as it cools down it will shrink a touch then hopefully release 👌
Good for stuck headset races too...
No, but it's something I'd do.
Only problem would be it would end up just a straight fit, as opposed to most aheadsets having a taper design to lock it down, but, you could easily machine that in, if the top cup had enough meat in to machine

Can I enter? Whilst, technically, I own this bike, I haven't actually seen it in the flesh yet as I'm currently (Motorhome) touring Europe and a friend picked it up for me back home so I've only got the sellers pictures and info.

Whilst not exactly tip finds, my family ran skip hire for years and my dad would always put any bikes to one side for me.
Over the years I've had some very nice bike finds, probably the best was a Joe Waugh, reynolds 531c, can't remember the groupset but was far too small for me, one of the...
