it's about time I got a new project!

Weighed frame and fork earlier, must say I was pleasantly surprised! Frame (large), fork, headset, stem and seatpost clamp, 1670g. Not bad for a frame at least 15 years old with threaded BB shell! I have a record alloy chainset that would look great with this, but the weight of that together...

it's about time I got a new project!

quick update, split the bike this afternoon to give it a good clean and put back together. Probably didn't really need it, but I prefer to know it's been built correctly. All came apart as if it was built last week and not 15 years ago or more, so that was a nice surprise. I've measured the...

Anyone running TPU inner tubes yet?

I've not tried them yet, but ordered some the other day since I was ordering other stuff on aliexpress. The Ridenow ones are hardly any more expensive than a decent butyl tube at the LBS (I know they can be had for less but I like to buy bits and bobs like that from my LBS when I can). The...

    Is Alexa spying on you?

It's safer just to assume anything electronic is spying on you, most of them probably are anyway.

Yes, alloy BSA threaded BB, I think headtube and seat lugs are carbon.

it's about time I got a new project!

what makes you think it's the VX? not saying it's not, just that there are no model identifications on it, other than "Edge" and all the photos I can find on the WWW show "Edge First", "Edge Racer", "Edge VX", etc. are there any distinguishing features from one model to another? tube shaped...

it's about time I got a new project!

Despite a fair bit of googling, I've not been able to find out exactly which model this is, or year, or anything else really.... Can anyone help with info on the frame?

it's about time I got a new project!

A few more pics. Time monobloc stem (needs turning over!) and water bottles are a nice complement to the frame and fork. All tubes are shaped in some way, and I think this "Edge" version was the most basic one in the range at the time, with the VX, VXS, etc above it. Looking forward to getting...

it's about time I got a new project!

Pic is as I collected it. Needs some adjustments, but it's a late 00's Time Edge with about 1000 miles on it :D

it's about time I got a new project!

No! and I don't have any more pics that wouldn't just give it away. I think there are enough clues for someone to be able to get it though!

it's about time I got a new project!

I had been looking for something modern-ish, rim brake, and if a full bike, campag 10 speed (because that's what I already have, and it works great - I don't want discs, electronic, hydraulic, or any of the new stuff!). Saw this advertised at the start of the year, made a deal with the seller...

Help identify the year of these Look pedals

Those look like the PP136, not sure exactly when available from/to but they're in the 1995 catalogue

    Giant TCR 2024

I've not read the marketing info, but from your description they will have used a kammtail design, these have neen used for several years to fit the UCI rules on tube dimensions and also to avoid the problems with compression at the trailing edge
