    How many spokes?..

Mid to late 90's. Brilliant wheels, but very stiff rims and best used on very smooth roads, especially in the clincher version!

Wanted Cateye vectra cc7000 computer mount

Here you go. Comes with a free head unit with an extra bit of something glued to the front 🤷‍♂️ Working as far as I know. Can include fork mounting bracket too. And a magnet. Yours for postage, which will probably be cheaper without the head unit, and cheaper still if you can wait until I'm...

Wanted Original Light Pink Elite Bottle Cage Wanted

Here you go. Definitely original pink, not faded red. The white bits have yellowed and been painted white again by someone (not me!), these could be changed out from another cage, or paint removed and then bleached? there is some paint on the pink parts but this will come off. There is one...

    Camera suggestions?

My mum has asked me to look into "dash cams" for her trike. One front and one rear. She is fed up of lousy drivers so wants a way to report them. I have no idea about this type of camera... So, any suggestions for something easy to use and compatible with android phones? Economical too! Thanks

Wanted Original Light Pink Elite Bottle Cage Wanted

Hi, I have one, not quite as good condition as the one in the pic, but very respectable all the same. Will sort some pics. Am in Spain so postage to the UK will be quite a bit, will need to check. If you're not in a rush then I can bring and post within the UK next time I'm back (not sure when...

aliexpress forks - yay or nay?

thansk for the input. anyone actually got firsthand experience with these? The reason I am looking is that I can't bring myself to fully trust the bonded alloy forks on the Giant Cadex as seen here: https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/giant-cadex-cfr-59cm.446940/ looking at that, it's now 5...

    Rim & spoke recommendations

I always use DT competition spokes, they're a good all round combination of strength, weight, availability, range of lengths and price. Rims, for modern options I can't comment. I have a stash of older Mavic and wolber that should keep me going for a long time

aliexpress forks - yay or nay?

Ues I always wonder about used carbon forks too. There must be some reputable makes on AliExpress too. As for guarantee or some sort of customer service, well I imagine that could vary a lot

aliexpress forks - yay or nay?

possibly after son 1" ahead carbon forks... googleing turns up a few options, mainly the ritchey and columbus options, which I'm sure are great forks. Other results mainly seem to be aliexpress versions at a fraction of the price. Now, I know that usually "you get what you pay for" but has...

it's about time I got a new project!

Yes, very stable but twitchier in the steering than my pinarello paris. But that's a size 54 with a 130mm stem. Longer stems make the steering "slower". It's not that the time is bad at all, just I am so used to the pinarello that it feels obviously different.

    Pets

Does anyone know what this little fella might be? My son found him in the street at midnight about 3 weeks ago, obviously abandoned or stray, he stopped to look and this little thing just walked across the road, sat on my lad's feet, looked up at him and whimpered. So he brought him home 🤷‍♂️...

it's about time I got a new project!

Haven't updated this for a while... The right ergo shifter needed a new index ring as the old one had split. A little surprising given the low mileage, but no big issue. It just took me a while to get round to it. I made a couple of changes - swapped the bars for some deep drop 3T that I had...
