    Swinley Forest MTB ride 1/12/19

Re: Retro will be fine. I usually ride a rigid single speed there with bigger wheels, but have ridden retro and it was good. Friend of mind does it on a cx bike and doesn’t crash much. Of course, you can join the masses and go for a full enduro e-bike and give it large.

    Swinley Forest MTB ride 1/12/19

Re: Looking forward to it! Haven’t been on a bike for a while as just lost the mojo a bit, but have been mountain biking without the bike bit. Is good fun and less to clean afterwards. Hope my legs hold up with all the pedalling.

    Swinley Forest MTB ride 1/12/19

Re: It’s a bit of a cruiser. Might get my clockwork up and running. The frame is not in tip top condition so won’t mind getting a bit trashed in the swinley grit. Btw: thanks for organising. Almost a year since the remembrance day Surrey ride.

Re: I’m in! Parts of it are closed at the moment but might be back by then. It’s apparently a bit boggy too, but from my experience it’s never that bad.

Re: I can’t compete with the wit and good taste of you lot, but if we’re doing county based names, and it is based in the midlands, how about? Leicester go wrong. More generic crappy ideas: Hypergliders Don’t believe the Hyperglide The biopacemakers All thumbies and fingers Sprocketeers...

    Saracen Trekker 1989 (/1990)

Re: Post some pics up when you get it. I’ll have to admit I haven’t really ridden it, or any bike since the start of summer as I just haven’t found much time. I’ve been running to stay fit. It will get ridden when I get the inspiration back and it will be at mayhem next year. It’s a bit heavy...

the perfect new bike for old grouches?

Re: Was tempted by this but it’s got those silly thru (sic) axles and all my wheels are qr. Plenty of decent frames out there second hand that fulfil the same need.

    Lovin this :D

Re: Good fun that. Worth watching to the last sections. That wheelie at speed is quite amazing.

    Chas Roberts with campag

Spotted this lovely looking thing in Kingston upon Thames today in Neal’s wheel’s on London Road. Campag groupset, Not sure how complete, looks like a very small frame, but could be really nice. Wanted £300 for it but could probably get them down a bit? Let me know if anyone buys it.

Mayhem 2020 cancelled due to apocalypse

Re: Contains nuts! Brilliant! Is that a bit like Mayhem too? We’re all a bunch of nutters. I haven’t been on the bike much since that weekend - anything else seems a bit of an anti-climax. Been training for the first lap run though. Any chance we can get the organisers to extend the run...

Post Mayhem blues ride, 4th August

Shame I won’t make this. If it was more local I might be able to as my Weekend plans have just been cancelled. Got to get ready to go away on Monday though and have my traditional summer cold. Hope it goes well and the weather stays cool.

Mayhem 2020 cancelled due to apocalypse

Re: Mountain mayhem 2020 Yes it was great Clive stepped up and did the team talk but needs to a bit earlier next year. By the time I’d got down to the start I was near the back and that was at 11.45. Not that i would have been challenging the whippets, but I could have, maybe, with a following...

Re: I’m up for live music. Open jam session, electronic backing from LGF with guitars over the top, blues jam, space rock, nineties classics, what do you think? Probably won’t all sound good but could give it a go.

Re: Mountain mayhem 2020 I’m in for the weekend. 10 man team would be good with a bit of zip. Would plan on doing 3 or 4 laps.
