    Orbit Excel Dura-Ace

I reckon the dura ace transfer on the top tube was stuck on by the owner rather than by the factory. I say that because i have some of those stickers in my possession. Mine are stickers, so easy to apply by anyone. I may be wrong of course ....

    Code of the road.

How do you define keen? Someone who adopts a race position on a £5k bike with a snazzy lid in nice weather or someone who commutes every day in all weathers on a £500 bike but wears a cagoule and balaclava.

    Early 90s Raleigh Frames

I had a 80s/90s (?) lurid green and black Raleigh 501 tubed bike which I got for £15 to commute to work and it rode really well. After I stopped working there, I used it for club rides before passing it on to a friend for his commute. Not a competition bike, but better than I was expecting. It...

    Sorted 8 speed 32T cassette - Shimano/SRAM

As you're in Sheffield, the Decathlon store do them for about £12 new. It's their own label rather than Shimano, but the one I got has been going well for over 2 years

Sold THM’s Temper Tantrum Campagnolo sales thread. Price drop

For Sale 1994 Dawes Super Galaxy

Unfortunately, bikes just aren't shifting unless you're prepared to give them away. Also, whilst this is a great touring bike, it unfortunately isn't any retro exotica that is likely to stir the juices of members on here. I understand your frustration, but that's how it is. I'd suggest one of...

Wanted Short drop brake calipers - hex nut fitting - Now Sorted!

As short (race) drop brakes came into being, it was also the point at which Allen key mounting became common. So, while what you want may be out there, it might not be common. Another approach might be to use an AK fitting front brake on the rear with a nut and try to find a long bolt for the...

Shimano 600 5/6 Speed Gear Shift Levers - ISSUES!!

Not necessarily disputing what you say, but I was brought up being told 531SL and it's successor 531 Pro weren't suitable for a heavier rider as it was quite fragile.

Shimano 600 5/6 Speed Gear Shift Levers - ISSUES!!

The NHS will always be seen to be "failing" however much you fund it or make changes. That's not to say any part of is poor, but because it will always stretch itself to the limit and at that point , someone will feel let down. I liken it to the building of a garage. At first, it's the answer to...

Shimano 600 5/6 Speed Gear Shift Levers - ISSUES!!

Yeh you can. Any knowledgeable mechanic should spot that, assuming that is the problem. I guess your shop mechanic has never seen anything made before 2010
