    What would you do?

Not just about the money. He'll be riding home at 5mph with the wheel bumping every revolution and unable to corner. That maybe bearable if home is 2 miles away, but if it's 20, then that's proper pain

    What would you do?

80s campag looks great and stylish but works nowhere near as good as indexed shimano. Note that DA 7200 isn't indexed, its just friction shift. You need DA 7400. But this won't be cheap. Personally, I'd go for Shimano 6400 aka Tricolour. It works brilliantly and bits are still quite common and...

    Campagnolo Black and White derailleur!!?

Just looking at it, and as a layman, it appears fairly low-rent. I'm thinking Xenon type level.

just to be clear, my request wasn't particularly aimed at any one individual. and being logical, it can't bring back memories if you cannot recall the rider or occasion ..... unless you mean Hey it's an old photo, i was a toddler back then, wonderful times.

Wish one or two would provide a single line caption to their photos. Who, what event, what's happening etc. I'm someone who isn't particularly well versed on history and have a "talent" for not recognising faces. Rant over and thanks

    Sorted 700C Wheelset 36H , rim brakes , 9 spd hub

If you're not afraid to go modern, those Shimano RS10/RS11 type wheels are bombproof despite the fairly low spoke count. I don't think they are in the current Shimano range. I got some off eBay from a shop that trades in all sorts (not just cycling )of new old stock for £80 posted.

For Sale Look Carbon Ergopost 25mm vvgc

Great seatpost. I had one. But a word of warning, the bolt is titanium so don't get too enthusiastic with an Allen key as I have and round it off. A replacement is hard to find, so I'm guessing it's a french thread. Like I said though, very nice piece of kit

    Any info appreciated

Just to add my viscount had eyelets on the rear dropouts also. So either this isn't a viscount or someone sawn em off
