Sorted Velocity 1" Quill Stem in 100 or 110 mm

Hi everyone, I am after the above spec'd stem in case anyone has a spare one to sell? Condition won't matter as I can refurbish it myself. Let me know if you've got something! Cheers, Panos

    Frame failure experiences

I broke a Cannondale R1000 back in '97 I think it was. These had the old Cannondale drop outs that were then replaced with new reinforced one when the CAAD series were released. I had my frame replaced under guarantee and then new frame lasted till I sold it to the next owner in the UK. For the...

I'm Thorny. Thorn Audax 853 Ebay Wales Collection Only 535L Size £500 odd BIN

Wow! That's a real bargain if you ask me... you could sell most of the parts and remain with an amazing frame that you can then use to fit some nice shimano components from late 90s. This could turn out a stunner. Not that it's not already looking good.

Never seen a filet brazed one! Didn't even know Thorn had filet brazed frames to start with.

    I hope it won't break...

Still it will be interesting to read a ride report…🤓 I am sure it has its won special characteristics the moment you through some dirt on it. Would be fun to know how it compares to some other of your bikes? What about that badass you have hanging in your wall? 🫣 sorry don’t mean to deflect...

Build thread - Brodie Sovereign '95

It turns out that Art Tyler from Art Dept was painting Brodie frames from late 80s to about 1992. Then it was Toxic Harald who continued painting many of the Brodie frames (especially the ones with really crazy metallic colours). My frame is a late 94 early 95 so the decal was just confusing...

Build thread - Brodie Sovereign '95

Haven’t been entirely satisfied with the braking performance of XTR cantis (maybe I didn’t set them up correctly either) so decided the following change: As you can see for these pictures the angles these Ritchey / Dia Comp cantis have is bigger. This should increase the leverage of these...

    1993 Brodie Catalyst

Pretty impressive with the level of detail you have dedicated to this built. This might have been asked to you before but how are the suntour xc pro levels performing with the V-brakes? I have a Brodie myself and was pondering on the combination too. Once I tried XT Canti break levels with...

Turn the frown upside down! Retro goldmine!

Just like @PhillB I wasn’t aware of the retro bike community here or in any other forums and FB groups either. I was always riding 26” wheel MTBs and since I was racing in the 90s natural online selection brought me in this forum and also some FB groups. It goes without saying that the...
