I know what your saying Keith, they do look like the crude 'crushed' finishing of some poor later bikes but on re-examining the rear ends, I think they have been filed back to create than scalloped shape I think? Thanks for the input anyway

Hi there, Cant help you with the model name but if it's a 1950 the frame number will start with a 50 then the third number is the month of manufacture - say 505 being May 1950 - then the rest is the sequential build number... Very nice bike though - similar to my 1950 CB - even the 'silly...

Wow, bloody subjective, this bike lark isn't it!! First the saddle's wrong, then the saddle's ok but the levers are silly... (which actually work well by the way!) I guess at the end of the day all our bikes are different and that's exactly what makes them interesting at the very least...
