    Trevor Jarvis 1990

Re: Ah, that's interesting! I sold this to a guy in Bristol back in the Summer! I found it at our local tip looking a bit sorry for itself but never found the time to restore it... I have another TJ frame so one was probably enough...? (that and I have about 120 other bikes ;-)) Peter...

Any ideas what this 50s lightweight is?

I know what your saying Keith, they do look like the crude 'crushed' finishing of some poor later bikes but on re-examining the rear ends, I think they have been filed back to create than scalloped shape I think? Thanks for the input anyway

'92 Raleigh Summit For Sale - VGC - Original Cond!!

Hi There, Got a really nice and very original 1992/3 Raleigh Summit retro mountain bike for sale. These were apparently £1000 when new and are very rare (especially in this condition) as not a lot of people spent that sort of doh on a bike back then!! It's 19" C to T and is in the lovely old...

Any ideas what this 50s lightweight is?

Help Needed Please! One of five lightweights that I was given recently but no idea what one is? It's clearly 40s/50s although it has some more modern Reynolds forks on it, and has some nice features - notably, the fancy pump peg reinforcement, rear brake bridge reinforcements and gear cable...

    What's this frame??

Hi Terry, You were absolutely correct - it is a Rensch CdM dating from late 1949 Alvin thinks. Here are a few pics of the rough but original Merlin by the way - and it's for sale... Cheers, Martin.

    What's this frame??

Thanks for the info Tel - I see what you mean although my lug-work is a bit different but I guess these guys hand-cut the lugs differently each time or using a customer's design perhaps? Very interesting though and not bad for a £3 purchase last sunday at the tip I suppose? Actually the...

    What's this frame??

Hi There, Anyone know what this unidentified frame is? Unfortunately, it's covered in thick hammerite and has no head badge so i'm a bit baffled! I've looked all over google and the usual sites and found nothing similar... The defining features are the twin cut-outs in the lug-work...

1950 (maybe) Claud Butler - help me identify it!

Hi there, Cant help you with the model name but if it's a 1950 the frame number will start with a 50 then the third number is the month of manufacture - say 505 being May 1950 - then the rest is the sequential build number... Very nice bike though - similar to my 1950 CB - even the 'silly...

    1950 Claud Butler Fixie

Wow, bloody subjective, this bike lark isn't it!! First the saddle's wrong, then the saddle's ok but the levers are silly... (which actually work well by the way!) I guess at the end of the day all our bikes are different and that's exactly what makes them interesting at the very least...

    curtis race

I've just come across most of a Brian Curtis BMX bike - all except the front wheel & bars... 1984 according to the frame number... Not bad nick really... M.

    1950 Claud Butler Fixie

Yes it will but there always seems to be something better to spend 60 quid on and every half decent one on the 'bay seems to go for nearly that anyway! Cheers for the positive comments though! M.

    1950 Claud Butler Fixie

Hi There, New on this today and thought i'd share a bit about my latest project... Got back into bikes when I came across my great uncle's old Claud Butler road bike, covered in Rat S**t in a barn on my parent's farm... The first thing I noticed was the T.F. Blumfield flip-flop flanged...

    Brian Curtis BMX Bike...

Hi there, New on this today so Hello! Since rebuilding a 1950 Claud Butler road bike into a retro fixie, i've got back into bikes - really into BMX back in the early 80's and it's all come flooding back... (wish I still had my 1982 Kuwahara ET Rep!). ...but what I have come across is a...
