    The 1990 CBR marketing campaign.

I goofed! There were CBR t-shirts printed with this design. Not many though. Age cursum insitatius aut age domum was the translation from a local Catholic priest at the time. But I just did a Google Latin/ English and it should have been: equitare durum aut equitare domum suam RIDE HARD OR...

Cook Bros Stem in 1 1/4 real or fake?

We abandoned our welded stem manufacturing long before 1 1/8" & 1 1/4" fork quills were a "thing", thus I seriously doubt the stem is CBR. We made a few of the "dog bone" stems with larger quills but if there are more than 10 of them out in the world I'd be surprised. There was a time that...

    1985 Bonz-O-Fury

You can always just get a similar sized chainring ( with the same BCD) and turn the teeth off of it. If you don't have the lathe & skills, try to find a local machine shop or even better a hobby machinist to do it for you. It would be an easy quick job.

    1985 Bonz-O-Fury

I dusted off an old "riding partner" of mine and built her up with a collection of some of my favorite parts ( YES! not all period correct), so we can go and explore some local back roads and trails together. Honestly, I have not been on a bike in the last 15 years, and I have to admit this...

Why weren't ATBs a development of BMX?

The guy with the baseball helmet is on a Cook Bros. BMX bike and the guy wearing the old style cycling helmet is Gary fisher. The fellow standing in the left background wearing the striped shirt is Jeff Lindsey ( Mountain goat).

Why weren't ATBs a development of BMX?

I think it is fair to say that any technological trends evolution spawns from several different "gene pools". A good example would be windsurfing coming from both sailing and surfing.

Jack Taylor 'Rough Stuff' 1979 (1953-1974)

The first Jack Taylor "Rough Country" I saw was at the 1974 York Rally. I spent that summer serving apprenticeship under the Taylor Brothers took a 3 day weekend to go down to the rally with them. The bike really got me turned on' because while there there was no road races or crits to compete...
