Firstly, Sunn made BMX in aluminum. They made their first mtb in 1988/1989 with U brake and a very sloping frame with the same philosophy as their BMX. This bike is a 2th production, welded near Saint Gaudens in the Pyrénées. Rear canti brakes, less sloping top tube but still the big bmx BB...

So, it's a 91/92 frame with Suntour Grease Gard BB. You could easily have the year with the serial number . For removing BB : remove circlips and just an hammer (with previously screwing a bolt for protecting the axle). The axle is a 17mm diameter, the same used on Klein

1990 : straight stays and specific “press fit” BB, 1” headtube 1991-1992 : S-bent stays en Suntour Grease Gard BB, 1” headtube 1993 : S-bent stays but classic screwed BB an still 1” headtube

The only Cannondale made with a serial number was the Omega series : SM in 1990 (200 bikes) and 1991, SE in 1991(115 bikes) and DeltaV in 1992 (75 if I remember). Those Omega were never shown in catalogs (except sime pictures for showing clothes..) The 1 MB seems to be a classic serial bike with...

Here’s some picture of the 1991 french catalog. The bike isn’t shown in US catalog, (instead the SM Omega). The 1 MB is campy equiped with some cool parts as the big Euclid/Centaur Levers but some crappy Olympus parts as the derailleurs. Mine is an upgrade built with Euclid/Centaur components...
