I ride ss 95% of the year so for me it's an important option. Eno hubs are great, I had and loved them on my rim braked bike. Not sure how well they would work on a disk brake frame though, certainly not an ideal solution to have to readjust the caliper every other ride.

Re: I think it's fantastic, though personally i'd like some type of pivoting dropouts to have a single speed option. Also (as others have pointed out) the forks look a little anemic at the crown race. If they could flare the small tubes on the segmented crown to a larger diameter where they...

Re: Re: The Kickstarter listed the chainstays for both as 433mm, this 29er is built as per spec. They realised their error after building it, amateur error not preproduction model excuse. Totally agree, but just as the original Fat City frames evolved i'm hoping the new ones will as well. I'm...

Re: These are pre-production models. "A few notes: this bike is the first sample. The 433mm chainstays are the same as the 27.5 bike. For production, they will be lengthened. Also, Fat Chance is waiting on custom drawn stays for production, so they’ll change a bit as well."

Re: Unfortunately current technology (as in new sus-forks) requires the oversize and tapered head tube, and sus-corrected geometry. Certainly would look better with a lower and skinnier head tube. Would be nice if they had that option.

Re: Just a mini follow up on the Team Shrew bike I saw last year. Talked with my local Yeti guy today. He was aware of "Team Shrew" and said Linda Parker was living in Coeur d'Alene at one time so there is a definite connection. He didn't recall seeing the bike though. As I mentioned the...

I can't say for sure, though it did have Bullseye cranks, Team Shrew sticker, and lots of wear. I recall spending half my day researching Team Shrew on the web trying to learn more about T-Shrew, didn't find much.

Re: If my hazy memory serves me right it was in pretty rough shape superficially, heavy wear overall including the Bullseye cranks. Size was smaller than the pink Shrew. I can contact my local Yeti ex-pro rider for more information. Fairly sure he knows all the past Yeti riders in my area...

Thank you for the excellent information! Given your insight and what appears to be the original shifters/headset the bike certainly points to the early 80's.

Cuevas Vitus 181 and a question...

Re: Upon closer inspection, with my Mr.Magoo glasses and flashlight, I was able to id the dropouts, Super Vitus front and rear. Very cool! I suppose this dates the frame to the late 70's. I've also located a set of Stronglight 93's which I think will be a nice choice.

Re: Additional information on F. Cuevas Francesco Cuevas, originally from Spain, was a citizen of the world until he came to settle New York City in the 1960's. He was known to build his frames in the Old World style, that is to say using brass rod for brazing rather than the new fangled...
