Im mechanical engineer. I broked mine when I was 70 kg but 18 y.o. (1993). If you are not racing nor jumping, you can ride It safely if there is no crack visible. If you have a gusset, you Will see It if It happens. Only check It from time to time. With gusset Maybe is double the strong.

I have seatclamps, in all colors ( red, gold, silver and black). If you need some. Forged ones broke easily if you are not light. I broke mine, so I decided to repro them.

I'm ordering a new batch because red and black were sold out, and I think there will be demand in next 30 years.... There is the option to anodise in other colors, like magenta or green. Any one has demand of some of them? I can order different colors in same batch , and now it's the time.
