That is so rad!!! I treat my Cameron lightly as well. It’s seen enough hard riding in the Don :)

1989 Merlin Mtn Titanium with Full WTB and "Rubber Fork"

Re: Few more pics hiding on my phone ... Salsa stem post plating with a good ol' silver canadian coin topper :) And some other luck. Finding a '90 Kona Explosif in southern Ontario is always cool. Finding one modified by local bike dude Tony Beeks ... even cooler. Finding the above with a...

1989 Merlin Mtn Titanium with Full WTB and "Rubber Fork"

Here's a '89 Merlin Project I have just finished off. It came to me free ... goofy set of circumstances there. It was complete with a XT 730/2 group and Fat Chance Box Crown, which I thought was just the coolest. This was not an uncommon setup for east coast merlins BiTD apparently. Overall...

1993 and 1994 Yeti ARC Builds

Re: Here's some more pics of my 1994 Yeti. Its a pure rider ... pretty, but not a garage queen. It's been a really great bike so far. Only thing I'd like to change is the stem. I'd be more comfortable with 10 degrees more rise and 10 mm of less length. Its parked for the winter now. Those Ti...

    1984/5 Bontrager Fillet Brazed MTB

Haven't posted pics of this one here. Its a c1984-1985 Fillet Brazed Bontrager built by Keith himself. It was in the MOMBAT collection. Like a lot of those bikes it sat for a long time so, while the bike came complete, it needed a full rebuild. I opted to change the spec with some period...

Bike of the Month July 2020 - THE VOTE

Re: By a nose! Good job all. The moots has been fun. Not going to blow you away with performance, but is smooth and solid, and gets swarmed by bike nerds regularly.

1981 and 1987 Moots Mountaineer Rebuilds

Re: Thanks again :) So much was learned from this build. Interesting facts ... - When I got the bike It had a suspension fork on it and I thought that was ridiculous ... how could it work on an old mountain bike? However it turns out the original forks or 410 mm axle the crown so this was...

1981 and 1987 Moots Mountaineer Rebuilds

Re: Quick update. Apparently it’s a 1981. One of the first 50 Built. Strapping on the headtube and no serial numbers were only on the earliest Moots frames according to Kent Eriksen. Pretty cool.

1981 and 1987 Moots Mountaineer Rebuilds

Re: 1982 and 1987 Moots Mountaineer Rebuilds Thanks everyone! I got the forks through my Instagram account. Always amazing to find that stuff. The 87, which I actually think is a 1985/6 by serial number is repaired and awaiting a fork lengthening. I got super cool moots prototype fork for...
