Don't necessarily disagree. These are just the tires I had on hand and I quite like them. They do make them in Blackwall so will replace once these are done.

A few fairly major changes. The new seatpost is in and so are the new forks. Kona triple butted P2. Threaded. There is a 96 velocity stem on there for now but likely will find something black eventually. I also came across a black set of threadless TB P2 forks so I have the option to go that...

One last risde for 2021. No issues with the headset. I found a titanium o beam but it's the wrong size. I also tracked down a titanium race light handlebar which will go on this or the King Kahuna

Control centre headset is in and installed. It was in very good condition. Dubious performance benefits though I'm sure a bit lighter and stronger it does look nicer. The impact that was on there really needed a good cleaning so it's off to the spares bin with it.

It's a canti cable guide. I have rotated it 90 degrees and used an old threaded barrel adjust to clamp it. Then it can he used as a cable stop for V brakes.

Very happy with the fork performance. It takes a bit more of a bang to get it going. Feels much better. The new smokes and darts were great today too. Much better drive traction and no washouts.

Only thing I have turquoise is a seatpost and it's not long sndbof dubious quality. Nothing that would merit being on this beauty.

Just swapped in the Chris king headset from my King Kahuna. The tired old aheadset on there had some indexing. One of the fit issues on the bike is I would like the handle bars up a little as eith the smaller frame I feel I am reaching down. When I had the fork out I measured the AC length and...

These showed up earlier than expected. Smoke and dart reissues. They measure out smaller than the 2.1 they are listed. They dont even make 2.0, but that's fine I was having rubbing issues with the others and these look more the part.

Still riding this a fair amount though it's taken a bit of a back seat with the acquisition of the King Kahuna and brodie. It will still be my most used bike moving forward. New grips and I have a new headset on the way. A kona control centre to replace the lower spec impact that is on it now...

New headset. I was originally thinking black (and may still) but found this one locally for a good price. It's the pewter (I think) colour. I think it looks better than the silver anyways, which likely will migrate to the brodie
