    26" Tan/Amber Wall Tires?

just mounted and road them and after the first ride I think they're excellent. Sticky, high TPI supple sidewalls and chunky tread that rolled quick enough on the road to/from the trail. The graphics don't look too modern either, they're small enough.

What you don't dare do, people - Ti `98 Voodoo Loa

They’re specialized pathfinder pro in 700x38. For sure an improvement in the loose stuff, even at 80psi. But after the ride today I don’t know if it’s worth the compromise (given my usual ride on this bike is 90% paved.) They’re quick on pavement but not as nice or quick as the UltraDynamico...

    Today's Ride

Different part of the ride - a smaller specimen but I think it must have been the same kind of snake. I guess they’re called a gopher snake, not aggressive or deadly . This is part of my loop that I never stop for photos because it’s a grind. I don’t have a gps or strava but another...

What you don't dare do, people - Ti `98 Voodoo Loa

Nothing changed here other than the front mech. The ultegra snapped on the first ride and a campy was subbed in. My loop has a few miles of gravel and loose dirt over hardpack and I’ve eaten it more than a few times. These tires aren’t any good for that sort of stuff so new rubber is on...

    1995 Breezer Venturi - Finally!

I resurrect thee! Still riding this thing? I love it. I've been hunting a Bontrager Road Lite in a sz small and thought " well maybe I can expand the horizons a little and look for a Venturi... they share some elements." But they made these for like 2 years ? I mean before the "modern"...

The Late, Great Bontrager Race Lite

You listed straight blade forks and then said there is no conclusion made by roadies who are sensitive so I'm not sure what you are arguing here. Why were those forks built straight rather than curved? The geo chart doesn't specify different BB height for sus / non suspension so that isn't...

The Late, Great Bontrager Race Lite

was some months back, I posted a want ad on facebook looking for hellbents or a Ti crowbar and the seller offered up the Hellion, which I was stoked to find. curved / straight doesn't make any difference? That doesn't seem right, why are people curving stays and straight blading forks? AC is...

    Today's Ride

Right before I saw a 3ft beige/black snake (diamondback?) and endo’d I fell ON the scaly bastard and he slithered away. After I panicked and rode some away 50yards I was checking everywhere for bite marks… just scrapes and a souvenir in the bars

The Late, Great Bontrager Race Lite

It's right at 20lbs as pictured. Many of the lighter Ti bits didn't make it on. -Ti derailleur hanger wouldn't thread into the hanger, started but then got really hard and I wasn't wanting to push it. -Ti Odyssey Svelte pedals wouldn't thread into the cranks, they'd start and get ~half a...

Wow, a far cry from the first photo you posted. Nice work, shame he won't ride it, I'd love to take it for a spin.

1994 Serotta Colorado ATi - and a Lot of DIY Anodizing

What about Specialized Direct Drive Ti pedals? 245g for a pair. Almost snagged a nice set of the chromo spindle last year on ebay but no idea how hard the Ti are to come by. They are MKS made according to bikepro, maybe if you found the chromo set you could swap in a Ti axel?
