Bontrager Race '91 - Build Thread

I think Synlos' aren't what you want but instead find 5/3.8mm (or 5/4) ferrules. Jagwire makes them

    Wheeler Chiostra - I think '92

thank you. with the endless options on a build with no real rules or guidelines, i tried to have some thread of continuity. not sure anyone would pick up on that detail without me having mentioned it. the blue bit on the nose is bonus =] funny thing about the tape, i bought it to match the...

    Wheeler Chiostra - I think '92

thanks Woz. true, there are nearly no Wheelers over here in the road section, was surprised this frame was for sale in my neighborhood not half a mile away, just had to build it. it's large for me otherwise i'd be trying to keep it. alas it's for sale locally.

the cult is real - '91 Bridgestone RB-1

i think clearance varied a bit over the years, i have 28s in there with room to spare. i see 30's often and 32s sometimes. rim is a factor too of course thanks, and i agree. probably room for 650x35 or 650x38. had i the wheelset and long reach breaks i'd have tried it for sure.

the cult is real - '91 Bridgestone RB-1

if one comes up in your size for a fair price, do it. without going overboard, I'll say they're nice bikes. they look great, tire clearance is great given the age. man 7800 is slick as hell. took me a minute to warm to the aesthetics on the crank, but i am into it. runs nice, beautiful...

    Kestrel CSX build

you finished it, hell ya! looks great (especially with the Ritchey's but I wouldn't be shredding those up either) and nice to hear a ride report. must be endless amount of riding to do through the Santa Cruz mountains. will be interested in hearing how it fares compared to the Bontrager...

'94 - Maybe Mavic Neutral Service? - GT Edge

ok, but the GT bike in the original post is a '94... why would they have used a '94 bike in '07? the bike in my last post is a Slim Chance (of fat city cycles) probably from '89

'94 - Maybe Mavic Neutral Service? - GT Edge

Apparently they did for at least the 94/5 Tour DuPont though I've struggled to find pictures here's a sweet video i found that has some great footage. you can spot an Edge Ti in there and I spotted a mavic car but couldn't make out any bikes and proof that it wasn't all cannondale prior to...
