That’s some journey man! Thanks I’ve been reliving my youth by messing around on a BMX I recently bought for my son here. Ah those grazed knees and scarred shins - remind me of those halcyon days!!

I was looking at an Italian set of cranks such as a PMP or FRM The FRM needs a shim or spacer if it doesn’t come with its own BB. But not 100% sure about compatibility The M960 seems fine though and the style is growing on me and I’m now inclined to leave it.

Thanks yes seems my only good sensible option If only Shimano made an M960 separate units rather than this cumbersome thing. I’ll probably change the lot for M970 - Bikes 2007 so no big deal

The care and work gone into the frame and the attention to detail tells me it’s at least a chromoly steel. But I’m no expert on BMX @Tobias Rodriguez may know

Beautiful I wouldn’t ever get rid of that!! I was looking at a few Kuwahara alloy race BMX on the Italian site subito.it a couple of bargains. But they’re relatively new skool How much does she weigh ?

Thanks If I sell it’ll be the lot inc the cranks rotors mechs. Or trade for some stuff ie a matching mech and shifters - Plus some brakes and levers

Thanks Ian I reckon that’s what I have to do if I can’t get on with the dual control levers - replace calipers as well I’ll stick to them for now but I might put the lot up for sale I made an enqiry on the how much is my x worth

Want to change the dual control M960 hydraulic disc levers / 9 speed shifters for separate units such as M970 shifters and levers Is this possible ? Or are there other alternative brake levers such as Magura which can be used instead ? Cheers
