Just spoke to the seller, we’d been able to exchange numbers as the sale had previously been completed. He’s actually a really sound guy and I understood his predicament. We’ve agreed a price and I’m collecting in a few days. Looking forward to getting my hands on it:)

Hopefully going to speak to the seller on the phone today. I had paid and they refunded. If it’s steered outside of eBay it could be an expensive risk.

It’s seriously questionable. If I (or anyone else) buys it outside of eBay there’s no protection. Seller also stated when initially cancelling that it was cracked and had damaged threads so if that is the case there’s no come back.

From the seller; “I’m really sorry, to b perfectly honest and shud have been honest I was selling for a friend and I shud have sold it for a lot more since I sold it , I’ve about 20 people message me saying they wud have gave me between 500 and 800 for it , I just didn’t know what it was worth...

Seller just cancelled the sale:( I hope someone else didn’t get in his ear to persuade him to. He said he noticed a crack but I said I’d take it as is. So disappointing

My bike:) cheaper price outside of eBay if anyone is interested. Keeping my 89 Lavoie Titanium and a couple of others so selling quite a few from my collection.

It’s a great bike, I’m interested to see what it sells for, I have a 93 DB in the same colour. Tough market for selling high end retro mountain bikes at the moment.
