    1994 Kuwahara Makai

Mine weighs about 27.5lbs lol, no lightweight for sure It has a “factory Kuwahara” decal on the head tube that is very old and appears original, I’m pretty certain the frame is mild steel rather than lighter chromoly. I’d have expected chromoly on a “factory” frame but maybe they were doing...

    1994 Kuwahara Makai

Thanks so much for the kind words. I’m not sure I’d be able to accurately value the bike. It’s an early 90s model, the more sought after early/mid 80s Kuwahara’s are bringing silly money in some cases. I’d guess $400-$800? Not too sure. I love it though and wouldn’t part with it. It fits me...

    1991 Merlin Elevator rebuild

I really love your build choices 😍 I have magura rim brakes on my 96 RM Vertex I think they are one of the best feeling rim brakes ever. Can I suggest considering trying these type of adapters as an option to remove those pesky tie wraps holding the rear brake hosing in place...

    Paul Brodie's Bike Show

Not the original banner unfortunately, the recently produced banners turned out amazing though. There are three tie-die t-shirts to be won in the raffle draw today among other items, fingers crossed 🤞

Also, a fellow RB member is having some repros of these stem caps made in different sizes and colours. I just forget their RB handle, maybe someone else can chime in

I have been waiting to order goodies from that site since last fall and first assumed 11/09 might have meant September 11th (their home page states MOVE, NO ORDER BEFORE 11/09) so moving I guess. That date came and went. Then I figured maybe November 9th? Nope Pretty frustrating, who knows if...

    1989 Merlin Mountain

Think I'll through this in BOTM for June so here's a small update. I changed the title to remove (90?), I'm not 100% certain but after posting my Merlin on a FB group it seems most likely it was produced in 89' based on some of the comments. I've been out on this Merlin a lot more than my other...

Best way to refurb M900 cranks without polishing

I'd be interested to know where to get four water slides if you don't mind pointing me in their direction 👍

Best way to refurb M900 cranks without polishing

I've polished a few cranks including M900 and M730. Nice thing with M730 ones is the "Shimano" logo is embedded vs the silk screened (I'm guessing) XTR logo. In my polishing choices evolution I've found that after polishing I can go back with a 3M 3000 grit rectangular sponge type buffing...
