Powdercoating is even cheaper than paint! At least here in my part of the western (european) world!

Team Marins and Team Issues were Tange "Superlite" or Ultimate frames / tubes. Models like Eldridge Grade etc. were a completely different (more low end) tube-set.

Indeed, it looks like somebody also removed the plating before paint ... thats heavy.

The decals partly have the wrong design (font types), the top tube decals are too small, they have the incorrect original color (lilac instead of plum) AND theyre put out of original position .... bummer! Let me guess, theyre from dnfive? :-D No, he at least (sometimes) uses the correct color.

what do you mean by totally gone and no sign of plating? I highly doubt that there is anything "gone".

Just seen that the 1994 Team Issue had the purple binder as well. I dont know... maybe it was a January 1994 build, still sold in the 1993 design. The bare Issue frames were the very exact same anyways of 1993 & 1994. Only the serial number stamping was different :) So ...just build it as you...

It wasnt painted! (except for clear coating). Its blank nickel plated metal!

M2 is what was originally born as a "Team Marin" frame but was (obviously) used as an "Issue" frame. There are plenty of examples of that out there. vise versa as well. Mx4... indeed indicates 1994 as build year and the seat post binder also indicates 1993.

Are you sure it isnt a 1993 Marin Team Issue? It is called a "Manitou 2". The Easton E9 is the tubing used. Its of 1993 - not 1994. Price varies heavily ... yours is on the low end (undefined elastomer status) and the purple is completely faded. On the used market you can find these from 60...

Well, I guess I got a lady - so she can ride it :-) I got a big collection of vintage road bikes, so I dont really care if its male or female.

Tiny bits today ... I just replaced the very worn out SLX tubing sticker. And put some tubes and wheels on the clinchers. I chose a nice old pair of Continental Grand Prix 22x700 for this bike: Here is the latest! Now here is the current build-status :-)

Leatherworks for the handle bar. I also made myself some stencils to add the Cinelli-logo in red like the old Cinelli VIP handle-bar & saddle (+ under saddle pouch) kits.

Still looking good! check, if the black rubber dust wipers in the stanchions are still soft and not hard. Might as well take a new set of them, too. PM me if you like. I would sell you the elastomer set + aluminium washer (+ a pair of dust-wipers if you wish). Cheers!

Hi! You could have arranged all the parts you have left a little better so I could analyze it properly :) There might be washers or bushings still in the tubes. How about cleaning it all up first and then we see exactly what you have and what you need. I do have the elastomer kits, dust caps...

Major update here! I finally was able to solve the fork question. I managed to buy 2 other Cinelli Supercorsa project bikes (shipping damaged) of the mid 90s with matching color and simply took one fork. I made an extension shim and started the surgery. Have done these fork extensions plenty...
