    Avid arch rivals

BTW I do love them, the Supreme of course even more BTW, there was just in saison 2000 a SRAM V-Brake with an integrated composites booster available, also to keep both arms in parallel.

    Avid arch rivals

let me explain at least one is to keep pads parallel to the rim sidewall Force vector alignment is, as explained to keep both arms and pads but also the pressure symmetric to the wheel.

    Ritchey?

agree, a fine looking bike, with regards to identifying the manufacturer or brand, those bikes with nickel plated or sometimes "titanized" called CroMo frames had been offered from many brands, often Ritchey tubing or at least pieces like drop-outs have been used. Typical suspects offering...

    Diamond Back Racing WBC

hi, upfront I'm a Diamond Back fan and I do like the later WCF models. This is a nice bike. It's from 1997, as in that year they changed the decals from "Diamond Back" in separate words to one long and single word "Diamondback" and this was the only year with that font type. There had been 4...

Diamond Back Ascent - Info sought

the sticker with the Chinese letters and YE003 seem to be unique, other than that it looks like the regular Ascent model from 1993 also sold to Europe or US

    Unique paintjob, or not?

indeed, I haven't seen a Koga with that paintjob, but Diamond Back, Muddy Fox and Merida with very similar look and most likely same technology used for applying that lacquer. All those models with that paintjob are from end of 80ies very early 90ies.

Grisley Cross Renegade. Worth picking up?

come-on, you will only grow with new task and challenges ;) Building this up from scratch is also no rocket science. And I'm sure the folks here do already expect to see a build thread in the forum and would be happy to assist in case of questions.

Help me ID this hot red MTB?

sounds good, any pictures are welcomed wow, but as shown on the ad in #13 they had a local distributor there. not a lot, just have two ads from 1994 and 95, found them in German bike magazines, the Taiwanese company is called ETW cycle engineering and supply, here is a PDF with a bit of...

Grisley Cross Renegade. Worth picking up?

hi, I was looking today at the same pictures of this Renegade on sale in UA https://facebike.ua/ru/product/bu-gorodskoi-velosiped-grisley It's obviously a different model, without rear cantilever and also no derailleur hanger, but geometry-wise it could be a similar frame. It has a very low...

Grisley Cross Renegade. Worth picking up?

With regards to Grisley as bike brand and Peter Grisley, the designer in general, I have summarized some information already a bit ago https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/198-grisley-glacier-build-thread.466198/post-3445183 I haven't seen a 700C bike before, that's something I would say a bit...

    Unknown 90’s (wannabe?) Ritchey

nah, not sure... The frame looks not very interesting (there are nicer aluminum frames with Oria tubing e.g. from Sinttesi or Verlicchi like this Rudy Project) and on basis of the pic i would speculate the condition isn't great neither (the headset is faded quite heavily, it was for sure earlier...

    Unknown 90’s (wannabe?) Ritchey

alright Tange than, just still think this bike looks better as it is... But sure for 65 bucks, go for it, even just the Ritchey cranks are worth the money this nice looking bike is than for free. BTW I'm using same Indonesian Grafton look-a-like cantilever on the bike of my little daughter...

    Rock Shox Yellow

BTW there is not just one RockShox yellow. Quadra, Indy, Judy, all had slightly different yellow paint. So it would be very helpful if you guys could describe or show in pictures what has been matched hopefully well

    Unknown 90’s (wannabe?) Ritchey

a Magni (swiss dealer) Titanized, like this one https://www.pedalroom.com/bike/magni-titanized-mtb-29586 If I'm not mistaken it's using rather a basic tubeset like HiTen or plain Tange.

    Show us your Kuwahara

It took me a bit to find the year and model of your Pacer, just as others may also wonder, it should be based on a 92 U-Pacer. Also a nice basis and I'm sure this could result into a nice old Gravel bike... The cable hanger does the job but is to me not the optimal solution yet ;) What about...

    Sold Girvin pro-forx, need rebuild.

Lovely fork, to me also much cooler as using a MAG etc. Just I do not have any use currently, and not even space any longer... Therefore a rather theoretical question, would you ship it to Germany?

    Show us your Kuwahara

My Kuwa 1991 Pacer with a few recent updates The yellow at the front tube is a yellow foil, it just would need still a black Kuwa "K" sticker, originally it's there pink and there was also a pink and less sporty pink stem. I wanted a full black drive train and components, no front...
