Misterfixit's 1992 Marin commuter hack budget build.

Looks good, it coul be a nice and fun bicycle to ride and to look at. I find fun to restore or rebuilt some components with bad life.

But it is not exactly white, is it cream color? It will be dificult to match. Yes, it has i link rubber protections and Bike shield in that area, it is a moving wire area and it was very dificult to find one frame new 10 years later (bought arround 2015 and it is a 2006 model) so I have...

Bit of fun - How long as a percentage of your life have you owned your bike?

My oldest and love bicycle is now 35% and going up!!! It is not pre 1997, so no more pics but will be with me many years. I have spares for 10 more years running daily and I run only 2 times per month in winter and every week in summer. I even have a spare fork and spare set of wheels in 26"

    Great big Singlespeed thread!

My new bicycle has the two options (fabric original). But the speed is never more than 35kph I miss the Mongoose Maurice, it was a good Fixie or single speed. At least the freedom thick slick was thought enough for that city rides were sometimes you go a bit fast downstairs. It doesn´t roll too...

I don't like moots anymore. Or Wilderness Trail Bikes (WTB). New wheel size 750d anyone?😐

It looks very average. When you pay moots prices you whant something special. Look at this e bicycle, it looks amazing. You have to check too times to see if it is a e-bike. Looks special. There is a version that cost the same as the moots but looks sick. Or the canyon CF7 but I don´t like the...

Well and carbon and chinese production ... whant happened with Moots and his beautiful ti frames. https://moots.com/bikes/gravel/express/ Copy paste:_ The juicy part of the answer is that our composite components, the frame, fork, handlebar, stem, and seatpost are manufactured by two long term...

    RM vertex team 2002/2003 logo

I don´t see the Easton logo too. The disc brake reinforcement is annother strange thing, perhaps due to the XL size?. That may say it is a more modern Vertex. Ask for the serial number and check the year. 2003 Team SC logo

I don't like moots anymore. Or Wilderness Trail Bikes (WTB). New wheel size 750d anyone?😐

Why road bicycles use that narrow tires .... they are wrong. they shoud use more than 40mm ... or 50 or even more. They add a little bit and when they do mountains they put a bit wider to get advantage in fast road descends. It is a combination, not only high preasure. Each tire has a optimun...

I don't like moots anymore. Or Wilderness Trail Bikes (WTB). New wheel size 750d anyone?😐

Lower preasure more foot print and more roll resistance. No thank you. The suspension has to work too. I don´t buy that speech. Pros use what their patreons give to show off and shell us what they want. I´m not a pro, I need fast rolling tires from 1.8" to 2.1 rear and 2.2 or 2.35" with good...

I don't like moots anymore. Or Wilderness Trail Bikes (WTB). New wheel size 750d anyone?😐

Yes, of course is about that … and you get better rolling tires the more narrow they are with the same patern and compound etc because they are lighter and has less foot print and less weight. With 26” and 2.1 or 1.8 you can get a sub 500gr tire, even Maxxis has a sub 400gr tire. If you go to 29...
