    Show us your Gravel Bikes

Got four pairs of wheels for mine: fast road, winter road, 700c off-road and 650b off-road. Haven't ridden my mountain bike for nearly a year. It's the perfect bike for where I live - lots of country lanes, downland bridleways and farm tracks. Still struggling to not call it a cross bike.

Expensive for a not very nice example.

    Which wheels are better?

Sell them all and get a really decent pair of hand built wheels for about £400. They'll be light, fast, stiff, comfortable and serviceable. https://dcrwheels.co.uk/signature-wheelsets-2/#Standard-road

    Chickens Frame Emporium 29er

Thank you very much. The bikes are always a work in progress, generally fettling them to be lower and faster! 👹 And pinker!

Rear hubs compatible with 24 spoke and 12x135 axles

Bitex hubs come in that configuration. I run BX106 hubs on my road, gravel and mountain bikes. Take a look at www.bitexhubs.co.uk - they can configure hubs to most drillings, axle permutations and colours.

    Chickens Frame Emporium 29er

More pink on the Chickens. Been loving riding this bike over the past few months. Built myself some "aero gravel" wheels from some old German rim-brake rims on which the braking surface had delaminated. It goes like the clappers!

What is your Holy Grail among French frame builders?

I didn't even realise I was looking for a French holy grail, but I bought this frameset recently on here... And I think it is the nicest riding, possibly fastest (accounting for the ageing engine) bike I've owned.

As above please. Just need the cups really, but happy to buy a complete bb. Not too bothered about colour, but a slight preference for black. Thanks Rich

Bought a lovely Cyfac frame off Ian. It arrived quickly and well packaged. Would happily buy from him again. All good.

Help Me, I am being dumb

Your run of outer cable from the last stop to the rear mech looks maybe a bit short. Not going to allow the mech to move as it should.

    Sorted Carbon Road Bike

I am thinking of selling my 2005 Opera (made by Pinarello) Leonardo. It is carbon tubes with alloy lugs and chain stay. It's a fabulous ride even by modern standards, just a bit too big/tall for me. Ideally I need a 53cm top tube and this is 55cm. This is the frame that the Iles Baleares team...

    Sorted SRAM front mech

Here you go. Nearly new. Had it running perfectly on a 50/36 chainset with 2x10 rival.

I have a nearly new SRAM rival front mech for compact chain sets. It is for a braze on. £15 posted? Can take a pic in the morning.

    My latest wooden creation.

Nice work with the trophy. Most pallets are coniferous/softwood though I notice there is quite a lot of variation. Some of that will come from them drying out with age. Also some pallets are chemically treated to preserve them - and are generally best avoided (especially for use as kindling).

    My latest wooden creation.

More work down at the construction site of Buckingham Pallet. Got roof timbers, scavenged tin roof, OSB and salvaged pallet cladding done. Now I am having a beer.
