    Fat Chance Kickstarter

The reported sale price, as it was printed, was $250,000 with another possible $100,000 later. All went to creditors who were owed more than $500,000. \ Hardly a "killing."

    Tioga disc drive

With mine, the cord was fine, but it had come separated from the cover. I just used some simple epoxy to get it all back together. I even rode it once or twice afterwards.

    1990 Yo Eddy Questions...

Seattube. A 17" top tube would be like a kid's bike.

    1990 Yo Eddy Questions...

I've used multiple generic pulleys and all have worked fine. I've also heard rollers from screen doors work too

    1990 Yo Eddy Questions...

Yes Yes. Depends on how you feel about period-correctness, but the Thomson post is fine. Period ones like the Sakae TCO can be found pretty easily. Original Yo seatclamps were 31.8 DKG made and had a little green rubber boot. The loop is for a Hite Rite, and any aftermarket brand deep...

1996 American Eagle Atlanta - Bart Brentjens replica - p7!

Its very interesting how some ex-racers and now luminaries could care less about the bikes they used and some see them as some of their most prized possessions.

    Yeti A.R.C from 1993

Turq/Yellow ARCs with blue ano and HEDs rule! Fantastic restoration and result. I would have drawn the ano line before derailleur and chainrings, but that's me.

Bike of The Month January 2015 - Underdog special

I swore I'd never again come to Nick's defense on this topic due to his irrational love for all things Alpinestars, but am I correct in this translation? I, Nick, understand that I am a "special guy" and that I should show restraint and give a "Lesser Person" a sporting chance in an open...

Bike of The Month January 2015 - Underdog special

I dont know why we keep moving the course tape. Let there be "special" months to mix things up and keep it interesting, but dumming down this competition to so that "everyone has a chance" is ridiculous. My $.02 anyway.

    1989 (?) Yeti FRO

This is turning into a pretty informative thread! The way Herting explained it to me is just how Martin said: Yeti used 1" Cook Bros stems from the time the company offered "framesets" until August 1989, when they adopted the "Evolution" (Fisher) sized 1.25" headsets. Here is a bad photo of...

1990 Yeti Cycles FRO - Ex Juli Furtado Race Bike

Whoa, sorry for missing the question. The brake cables do have ferrules inside the campy lever bodies, but the body is so deep you can't see them. As for the rear canti stop, it was a mystery to me, but the ferrule wouldn't fit inside the stop. I filed it best I could and let it go.

    Another what bike is this?

Re: Re: Not sure whether it's worth that or not. A lot of those parts I'm unfamiliar with. But as for the frame, beyond some aesthetically polarizing design nuances, it's nothing special.

Re: AMERICAN EXOTICA ONLY..........! Huh? Klein pretty much defines this topic. What else would you put in its place?
