Re: Not Durango. Some of the early alloy A2X? frames were made there, but the steel ones were made overseas.

Just a friendly clarification, in 1990 Specialized offered an "Epic Ultimate" that was their steel-lugged Epic with WTB parts and XC-Pro. I don't believe the ti-lugged version was offered until 93, and that was named the "S-works Epic Ultimate." S-works being the division of Specialized that...

FWIW, I'm 98% convinced his first steel Yeti race bikes were 1 1/4" and used some sort of headtube reducer to allow the use of Tioga stems. Best pic I can find of it is a video screenshot

Re: Re: To each his own, but in my experience on several Manitou forks has not been good. 1's,2's,3's.. they'er all inferior to a Mag. If you want my honest opinion, your best bet would be a fresh performing Judy.

Well, I've put about 15 hours on mine, and it's definitely shown wear since. Good amount of side-to-side play.
