    Re: Avon is Vail... a couple hours west on I-70 from Denver and the same north from me in Durango. Not a convenient place to get to unfortunately.

    My first thought as well, but the word I'm hearing is the Tioga sponsorship was big dollars and there was no way they'd accept him running a copy.

    FWIW, I'm 98% convinced his first steel Yeti race bikes were 1 1/4" and used some sort of headtube reducer to allow the use of Tioga stems. Best pic I can find of it is a video screenshot

    Well, I've put about 15 hours on mine, and it's definitely shown wear since. Good amount of side-to-side play.
