    Show us your... Overbury's

Picked this up from a local junk shop for £15 last weekend. Nice Shimano 600 groupset, Overbury's wheel build. Too small for me but Mrs Daddy Pig fancies a road bike, so it's a keeper. I need some new forks (if anyone has a suitable pair knocking around...). I'm also planning getting it powder...

WTD: Small single speed specific frame for a project....

Your Kona frame is still "filed away" in my shed under future projects...It was overtaken by some family bikes, not to mention a 1973 Suzuki GT250K! I know you had some queries about the integrity of the frame (which I haven't any answers to yet..) but if you wanted it back for a specific...

    Incorrect crank bolts

Thanks Mattr I know just the man locally. The cranks are in great shape, so don't want to trash them. Doesn't look like there is a miracle solution to removing them, so will leave it to local magician.

    Incorrect crank bolts

Cheers lgf I did buy a draper socket today, because I thought it looked suitably thin. Unfortunately it's WAY too big. I'll take it in to Halfords and compare with theirs.

    Question about steel frame quality

I have a 92 Stumpy with Tange Prestige. It was the first decent MTB I owned and has done everything I could ever want: hacking, touring, racing. I had it blasted & resprayed by Argos about 5 years ago because I plan on keeping it for another 20 years or so, and that does seem realistic. I also...

    Incorrect crank bolts

Hi all, hope you can help me out: Picked up a new project at the weekend; (Overbury's road frame & Shimano 600 groupset) pics in readers road bikes. Hope my query is relevant here though. The Shimano cranks (as with most cranks i have ever used) are designed to take a 14mm crank bolt. Somehow...

    Bargain Overbury's project

Picked this up from a junk shop in Bampton for £15 yesterday. Paint is tired but OK. Forks are naff but can replace them. Lovely complete Shimano 600 groupset. It's too small for me, but Mrs Daddy Pig has decided she fancies a road bike, so looks like it may be here to stay...

Re: Good news re my Suzuki GT250 on p4 of this thread: I got my mojo back with the bike and now seem to have the engine moving again with new pistons in. Carbs & exhausts back on, so going to give it a test fire-up tomorrow. However I have a question: Will it run on standard unleaded petrol, or...

Hi All Cartridge bearing axles are a whole new ball-game for me. I recently picked up a v nice mavic wheel with a nice spesh hub. It spun beautifully but the qr just wasn't tightening correctly. I did a bit of research and tapped the axle out of the hub. I now have 1 loose cover, 1 loose...

I inherited this Suzuki GT250 K at the beginning of this year. My father bought it new in 73, I've got all the original documentation. I think he dropped it once and stopped riding it not long after (last tax disc is 1976) and it sat in his dry garage ever since. Genuine 4300 miles. If it been a...
