Thanks Mattr I know just the man locally. The cranks are in great shape, so don't want to trash them. Doesn't look like there is a miracle solution to removing them, so will leave it to local magician.

Picked this up from a junk shop in Bampton for £15 yesterday. Paint is tired but OK. Forks are naff but can replace them. Lovely complete Shimano 600 groupset. It's too small for me, but Mrs Daddy Pig has decided she fancies a road bike, so looks like it may be here to stay...

Had nasty fuel leak from lh carb when kicking over. Taken both carbs apart. Cleaned out all jets etc. New gaskets in. Will try again on Sat. Fingers crossed...
