Decimal point several clicks the wrong way

It is a C97 frame, made with Columbus Thron tubing. Made for Colnago outside of the Colnago factory in Northern Italy to a high standard but with lower grade tubing. Fork should be chrome plated Prescia "straight" type.

The problem is everybody selling a steel Colnago advertises it as a Master or a Mexico because those fetch the most money. The Master feels stiffer than a Superissimo but I doubt that it is and if you pardon the heresy the Superissimo is a more comfortable ride not that there is much in it...

The seat Lug and bottom bracket combined with round "Brain" tubes tells me it is a Superissimo. Great ride - I have one myself though not Art Decor paint. Not sure of the date, can't remember when they stopped doing the Superissimo, that seat lug was around until the late 90s.

Re: Colnago Coninc SLX /Dura-Ace 7400/ The Super was the basic tubing of SL Type. The SLX tubing was used on the Conic and the Superissimo. Not really any difference between the two, I think for one year they did an upmarket version of the Conic and gave it chromed lugs and chromed rear...
