I have this Alan Super Record for sale. It is 57cm and in very good condition with just a few marks here and there as you would expect from a bike from this era, there's nothing note worthy perhaps maybe the cable rub from the rear brake cable on the top tube. Anyway there are no cracks or dents...

Cheapest way is to send it in two boxes less than 1m long, should be about £30 with Parcel2go

Little bump on this before I split it for parts, which I really don’t want to do!. It now has a different crank (same but a bit better condition and good rings so no chain slippage). £100 sounds like a bargain to me!

That did the trick, got it sold for £120 (pending collection). If it hadn't sold it was going to be split...

Thanks for the input Cassidy. I finally got round to changing it to an 8 speed cassette today which works fine with the 7 speed shifters in indexed mode (secret extra click). Glad you’re getting good use out of the Rockhopper. Would love to see it when it’s all finished

Do you think I would be better of converting this back to 7 speed and having the gears indexed rather than the 10 speed friction?
