Odd build spec Trek Y bike....

I remember the Y22 was basically full LX will an XT rear mech and Judy XC. The Y33 was full XT with Judy SL and Trek System 3 kit. They did tweek the specs a little later on but I can't see the 33 frame having STX (even RC) on it as standard.

    For Sale Jersey swap, Merlin

Hi all. I have a Merlin jersey which I found in the U.S. The measurements were on the edge of what was right for me, but now I have it unfortunately it's a little too big. Other than that the jersey is perfect. It would be ideal for someone with a 42" chest. It's a long shot but does anyone...

Did Claud Butler do a Pagan in black in 1992

Shame. I had a CB Spirit in 'Pearlescent Aqua Marine' which was a '91 and loved the colour.

    Super v dh4000 any following?

Looks like the rear is still Sachs, front brake and hub look to both be Hope items (bulb hub?). Certainly in good condition, rare crank. One for the wall or light DH duties (with new tyres!)

    Whyte PRST-1 - any information?

Yep, that spherical bearing is toast. New one from memory is around £50. I think warranty only applies to the original owner.

I am curious what this bike is

Cups look oversized but I would say the headset is 1 1/8. I recognise the detail at the seat tube clamp, but can't place it right now.....

    Depression is just plain nasty

Shame you experience with them hasn't been the best. The volunteers are limited somewhat in what they are allowed to say (I know this as I went through the process to join them but ended up directing my energies to another project in the end) and you are right that they are largely passive. What...

    Depression is just plain nasty

Samaritans are your best source of support when NHS routes are shut, because of course we only get depressed during normal working hours don't we! Keep the conversation going on here as well, plenty of us who have been where you are and are here to lend a friendly ear.

    Depression is just plain nasty

Absolutely couldn't have put it better myself. You care that you feel this way about things in your life so that's a good foundation for a start. Also agree that it would be worth seeking some qualified support as some medicinal assistance may be in order in the short term. Plenty of us have...

    Merlin XLM

I would respectfully disagree but thanks for the comment. Lots of unbelievable builds on here with more work and years of scouring for parts than this! Ade

    Merlin XLM

Thanks. I am encouraged to stretch daily by my wife which helps! It's nice to ride actually (took it out a few times before stripping it down to work out what I wanted to keep/change) so looking forward to an improvement in the weather.

Can anyone identify / date this Cannondale?

^^^ what he said. Definitely KillerV from <1994 as it has the extended dropouts. I dont remember there being a purple KV before 1995 and as said previously that was a purple/black fade that yours doesn't appear to be but difficult to tell from the photos. Decals definitely not original. Are you...

    Merlin XLM

Following on from the Scott Windriver I bought 12 months ago that got me back into the joys of the rigid bike, I set about looking for a new project but this time a hard tail (as my 50 year old bones need a little bit of comfort). I have never had a Ti bike, but always fancied one. I have...
