    New Project '59 Experto Crede

I put SunTour Cyclone deraileurs + SunTour Power Shifters on my 1961 Holdsworth Cyclone. The SunTour stuff is around 1976-1981 so not period accurate, but looks good and the best deraileurs around in the 80s. https://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx?ID=374d02a0-8e7d-43fd-8ae3-a04877256f81&Enum=108

    Holdsworth ID / serial help

Worth checking for a number on the fork - stamped on the steerer if that's an original fork. 37 2659 would be 1972 according to https://www.nkilgariff.com/FrameNosTemp.htm

    Hello from a newbie

Yep, definitely do a build thread for the Cyclone De Luxe. I ride a 1961 Cyclone so something a bit earlier is on my shopping list :) https://www.nkilgariff.com/HoldsModelPages/CycloneDL.htm

    1959 Holdsworth Monsoon 23"

Historically Holdsworth went with "Sirocco" before they realised the spelling was wrong and introduced the Whirlwind :)

    1959 Holdsworth Monsoon 23"

That's the advantage of restoring your own bikes :) Similar level of finish on my 61 Cyclone, but I can repaint it again if I need to - I've got lots of paint left over in sealed bottles. I've done 1023 miles on the cyclone and haven't dropped it yet.

And here's another 59 Monsoon on Ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126551290586 'Fully ' restored for £1500, not certain how much would be original though.

    1959 Holdsworth Monsoon.

The forks you've got look pretty good from what I can see. If you get bored here's my not totally period 1961 Cyclone parts list: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/1278777-1961-holdsworth-cyclone-build.html?ispreloading=1

    1959 Holdsworth Monsoon.

Apparently the Monsoon fork crown changed a few times. Here's the history: https://www.nkilgariff.com/HoldsModelPages/Monsoon.htm

    1959 Holdsworth Monsoon.

Yep, I'm not certain what the Monsoon forks should look like. For comparison here's some forks of a 1961 Cyclone (matching frame numbers, my paint)

I don't know what's going on with the bottom bracket, but the lugs sure look like a Monsoon. Here's a 1958 Monsoon off Ebay: (I saved the other images if you need them)

    Sealant for tub punctures.

I've used Orange Seal for the last 3 years. Originally butyl tubes, latex the last 60 miles. Discovered tubulars 3 years back and I've had 3 flats since then: 1) Didn't know about sealant, 1oz in each tyre fixed it 2 + 3) Apparently you need to top up, 1oz lasted a year. So basically no flats...

    1951 Holdsworth Sirocco

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266864704308 Doesn't say what size £300 or best offer, pickup from Crawley Nice lugs but I think that's the wrong DT decal. And I've already got a 61 Cyclone :) Forks look odd, but I think they might be original - can just see the side cutouts.
