    Koga Miyata Gents Racer S

Very kind of you. But living in Holland makes it prtty expensive to ship I presume. No worry, I will look around. No, I don't think it will be completely 600 EX. Probably as much Shimano if possible. But there is also a possibility that I will built this as a fixie.

Re: No seized seatpost as well as none on the steerer. A little bit of grease can make teh difference. but I agree. Most of the time, bikes of this age are suffering with this... ;-)

    Giant Peloton superlite 1998-2002

I bought this earlier this month. For a little amount of Euro's. At first I'd planned to restore and sell it. But I came to the conclusion that I decided to keep it myself. :D The wheels (and tires) are not the ones I bought it with. They were crushed. I will rebuild them and made use of them...

    Koga Miyata Gents Racer S

And also the earlier years (1978 was the first) had eyelets on de Gents Racer S. So it is odd to have one without eyelets on the dropouts.

Re: I know that the lac of eyelets are ment for race purposes. But later examples do have them, so that is not true. The Aero version do have them standard.

    Koga Miyata Gents Racer S

In the early 80's I did ride on a Koga Miyata Gents Racers S (1980), which I later did sell. Years later it came back and since then my son make use of it. A few weeks back I was able to buy a simular frame for a little amount of euro's (even the same size, 58) only one year older (1979)...

    Fair?

Is it fair to misjudge all fixed gear bikes here? I am 59 years (young and have to admit I do like them very much. And love to build them as low costs as possible. Sometimes even with a so called suicide fix hub. Which is a normal road hub with a track cog and a BSA (BB) (right threading) lock...

Bar end shifters, on road bikes? opinions please

Also in the '80 some professional riders still made use of bar endshifters. Especially the road sprinters of that era did. Gerben Karstens (Televizier-Btatavus, BIC, TI Raleigh, ...) and Marino Basso (Molteni, Bianchiand many more I think. And in everuy other team they did go to.

    Racing number plate (made one)

I also do make them myself. Simply by printing on two sheets. Putting them both sides together, and seal them in a plastic cover in a common laminationmachine. Punch a (or more) holes woth a perforator and .... ready for mounting. Maybe not as beautifuk as those from Maca (compliments) but you...

    Peugeot Aneto 501- L'Eroica ?

Do you know this site? http://cyclespeugeot.com/ModelID.html Where it seems that the decals as on Aneto's are used from 1984 till 1988. In my experience peugeot frames are often build quit a time before the types are on the market yet.
